5Rythmes – Quiétude: savoir

Description de l’atelier

Stillness: Knowing

What connects you with your deepest meaning? How is your spirit nourished? Where do you find contentment? Where will you go after you die? How does peace function in your life?
You already understand.
My teachers have all said “You already know; you already understand.” But sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. Sometimes tumultuous thought, doubt, speculation, and illusion cover up the knowing.
Stillness reveals it. When all other Rhythms have been danced, when everything that has to be said has been said, when everything that has to be felt has been felt, the still space of your knowing is revealed.
Breath is its dynamic vehicle. You breathe life itself into your body, and you breathe life itself out into the world. It is most intimate and most universal. And at the end of breath — as at the end of life or any process — there is a still and open space of profound contentment and completion.
You can’t pretend to have it; and you can’t get it from some outside source. But when you settle, who you really are emerges. When you settle, everything expresses itself, by itself: life’s patterns, rhythms, relationships, and space all shine perfectly without the need for the slightest addition.
Our practice will be to dance the Rhythms so completely that no residue is left. Then Stillness dances itself.
